A new use for your beach wrap
I know this is mean, but i couldn't help myself and had to do the 'I'm pretending to text on my phone-but i'm really taking a sneaky picture of your silly arse' manouvre!! This dude stood in front of me at Waikiki beach for ages, so i figured it was meant to be. Funny, tee hee.
Nice Man boobies too, actually he's just a complete package!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I didn't train today, but Wednesday and Thursday I did early morning swimming with Midget. Di from the rec centre is training me, and its fantastic. Wednesday was more of a swimming assessment (fitness/technique etc) then yesterday she gave me my 1st programme, 48 laps of drills and it was bloody hard work. I came out of the pool red-faced... but i loved it! I hope the enthusiasm continues. Getting trained makes you push so much harder, we all need a good kick up the butt every now and then. Tomorrow we're off for an early morning run. I might never post again coz i might have a cardiac arrest whilst running.... it's been a while. I hope the girls go easy on me!
I've had a bit of the post holiday blues today :-( I Had to drag myself off to work and have generally spent the day moping around. I'm just a complete barrel of fun today... might go find my rock and get back under it.

A big fat suitcase and a tan!
Yeah yeah, I know I've been a bit sluggish to blupdate (blog-update...ha funny!) following my Hawaii holiday. I've been hiding away wishing the red dry dirt and 40 degree days here would magically turn into 30 degree Waikiki days laying by the surf! Boooo my holiday is over!
Nah, I'm not really in hiding, I've been too busy bragging to everyone how wonderful it was and reliving my stories. Although the holiday was fab I always find it kind of nice to come home to familiar faces and friends. Oh and my doggies... I missed them soooo much.
So.... how was Hawaii?? BLOODY FANTASTIC!! One of the best holidays ever. A perfect mix of relaxation, fun and touristy things. Oh and the shopping...wow, the shopping. It was a retail lovers dream.
I learnt to S U R F !!!!! Cooool!! I'm just spewing I was a tad retarded and didn't do it the first day I was there. Instead I went on my LAST day of Hawaiian holiday bliss... duuurr. It was great fun - even though I looked like a big fat Twisties packet dressed in Bright yellow and Red. The buzz of slowly staggering & standing my wobbly self up onto the the board was a feeling i wasn't really expecting. Amazing! I'll definately do it again... just gotta find some water which is a bit of a problem when you live in the Desert.
We stayed at the 'Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach' Hotel. It was bloody expensive (a common theme for anything involving land/real estate/accomodation in Hawaii) but apart from the cost we couldn't fault anything. We had a room Beach front on the 10th floor, with a great balcony where we sat each night and watched the surfers & sunset with drinks, before wandering out to find dinner at one of the gazillion restaurants close by.
Instead of blabbing on too much I'll try and let my photo's tell the story
Sorry Jodie... pics galore to follow.... you'll wish you never asked for any!! (thats if blogger plays nice and lets me load them)

Hawaiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
Hello finally from Hawaii. This place is awesome! Beautiful beaches, great food and restaurants, plenty of sights and touristy things to do... and the shopping, oh the shopping!! AMAZING!! This shopper girl is in mega-shop-a-thon heaven.
Our hotel room is on the 10th floor and is Ocean front. so we sit out on our balcony in the evening before going out for dinner and watch the surfers, boats and sunset. I'm amazed at the lack of aussies here, i thought there would be heaps more, especially from the east coast. Mostly there are American and Japanese tourists here, so the aussie accent is a novelty to Hawaii people who have trouble deciphering aussies from poms and always comment on our how great our accent sounds??!! Thats weird when you don't think you have an accent!
American food serves are ENORMOUS! Plus they seem to love everything fried and sugar coated, which is okay for a while, but am kind of over waffles, pancakes, french toast, fries with everything etc etc. Yesterday we discovered this little kiosk in the depths of our hotel (next to the laundry which is how i found it coz i was doing some washing!)and it has all these simple healthy things like sandwiches and fruit for sale! WC and I had chicken and salad sandwiches for lunch and they were great! Made a welcome change from burgers n fries.
We're off to this gigantic shopping centre today 'Ala Moana' (i think ) which from the outside looks the size of the Perth Hay St mall! Drea will be in shopping paradise!!

Syd-a-neeee
Hello from Sydney!!
WC and I are at the airport waiting to board our plane to Honolulu. Were flying jetstar and checking inwas a bloody nightmare, 55 thousand people waiting and a dodgy system that kept stuffing up. speaking of dodgy.... this space bar is mega dodgy onthis pay-as-you-go-computer. (very hard to type fast when space bar has to be hit 4 times to register)
I LOVE Sydney. The shops are awesome, wish we'd bought nothing in Perth and spent 2 more days in Sydney doing the round of the shops and sights. I could live here in an instant (and if money grew on trees)
We stayed in quite a funky hotel called the 'Vibe'. Had a few probs with getting a decent room tho... asked for a King room (hey, we have a king bed at home and i'm not going smaller on holidays... plus WC and i are not exactly small!)and they gave us a Queen bed... so we moaned and theymoved us to a King room which was awesome... until we realised the aircon didnt work... so we moaned again andthey moved us to a 3rd room that had a king bed and functioning aircon!! All was good after that.
We went to our fave chinese restaurant atStar city last night.... mmmmm so yummy.
better go get organised to go through customs etc.
